Syriac Serto does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. The keyboard works entirely on your device.
iOS custom keyboards can optionally request Full Access,
which is what would allow a keyboard to use the network or share what you type.
Syriac Serto does not request Full Access
(RequestsOpenAccess = false). Because of this, the keyboard:
Everything you type goes only into the app you are typing in — exactly as it would with Apple’s built‑in keyboards.
None. We do not collect analytics, usage statistics, crash logs, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or any other data. There are no accounts, no sign‑in, and no third‑party advertising or analytics SDKs in the app.
The app offers optional “tips” to support development. These are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store; we never see or receive your payment information. Making a purchase is completely optional and unlocks no personal‑data collection.
The app stores nothing about you. Text you type is handled by iOS and the app you are typing into; the keyboard itself keeps no record of it.
Because the app collects no data at all, it is safe for users of any age, including children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
The app includes the Noto Sans Syriac Western font (SIL Open Font License 1.1) and Serto Urhoy by Fr. Joseph Tarzi (Meltho font license, for free distribution). These are bundled for on‑device rendering only and involve no data collection.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new effective date.
